I just finished planting the tomatoes out in the garden today. Because we get so hot here the plants usually drop their blossoms by midsummer, so the first flush is important.Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-82452298072313916782017-05-09T17:11:23.118-07:002017-05-09T17:11:23.118-07:00Your plants look fantastic! Still well done. It's just freaky to me that they're so tall and have flowers already, makes me feel like something's wrong.

It's supposed to be sunny and windy the next few days, so the ground might actually dry out enough for me to plant this week. So excited!Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-32089698183347906862017-05-04T17:42:41.188-07:002017-05-04T17:42:41.188-07:00Wow - look at those tomato plants! When it comes ...Wow - look at those tomato plants! When it comes to tomatoes that are destined to be planted outside, leggy isn't really an issue. In fact, the leggier the better as that means way more stem to bury, which will give you larger, better plants. If they are too long to bury (i.e. you can't dig a hole that deep), I've even seen people bury them horizontally and then you curve the top up to stick out of the soil.

We are having a ton of rain now too - wishing it to go away hasn't helped.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-34657332733970048492017-05-03T13:13:41.247-07:002017-05-03T13:13:41.247-07:00Hi Sue,

We're getting another big storm this weekend, I was hoping to plant before then but the soil is definitely still too wet.Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-20438801423421018332017-05-03T02:06:17.985-07:002017-05-03T02:06:17.985-07:00The tomatoes may be tall but they look really heal...The tomatoes may be tall but they look really healthy.
