We've been having a tumultuous spring as well but hopefully the warmer weather is here to stay. Azur Star sounds like a great open pollinated kohlrabi. Is it sweeter then Early White Vienna?

I'm just taking a short break from planting. Finished transplanting eggplants and hopefully I can finish up the peppers today.Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-27865395440856846532016-05-22T10:25:14.482-07:002016-05-22T10:25:14.482-07:00I don't think the red leaves represent cold da...I don't think the red leaves represent cold damage. Brassicas are pretty hardy and it takes a freeze to set them back. I had some red leaves on mine and I just attributed it to being a little root bound in the flats. Once their roots are established, you should see an improvement. For a purple kohlrabi, you might look at Azur Star. Did well for me last year and I am growing it again.David Veltenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710293718143454000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-87967101051176833942016-05-22T09:06:46.097-07:002016-05-22T09:06:46.097-07:00Hi Mark,

Your garden is looking amazing, and you're really good about keeping your plants protected.

We're going to put up a fence in a few weeks, it'll be nice to keep the bigger mammals out of the garden at least.Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-51668333045142884082016-05-22T01:54:00.134-07:002016-05-22T01:54:00.134-07:00It's not been an easy gardening year for you s...It's not been an easy gardening year for you so far!
