And yet, they're still earlier than the bell peppers. I'll probably grow all the same sweet peppers next year, they've all been great performers except for Odessa which I'll give a second chance.Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-80574256408262312052018-09-07T10:58:30.045-07:002018-09-07T10:58:30.045-07:00I hope you are all recovered now, and the children...I hope you are all recovered now, and the children are enjoying being back at school again after the summer break.Your peppers all look good: I can pick out the Long Red Marconi as this is a variety we have this year, and it has an excellent flavourKathyhttp://www.alittlebitofsunshine.co.uk/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-25717885271964530072018-09-06T19:25:34.159-07:002018-09-06T19:25:34.159-07:00Hi Belinda,

Currently Melrose, Figitelli Sicilia, and Ajvarski all made my top three for this year, but they're also some of the earliest to ripen. I'm still waiting for Corno Rosso, di Toro, and Marconi to turn, they seem to only set fruit once the weather cools a bit. When I do searches for peppers, a lot of the time your blog comes up which always makes me smile because of the amount of information you willingly share.Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-47273247795378278012018-09-06T19:05:48.510-07:002018-09-06T19:05:48.510-07:00Hi Sue,

I'm going to try caging the tall pepper plants next year, like pablano and di Toro, the heavy rain just knocks them to the ground.Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-84226102546148948542018-09-04T04:33:59.751-07:002018-09-04T04:33:59.751-07:00Hi Will,

Plus, I alternate years between sweet and hot peppers depending on whether I plan on canning lots of salsa.Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-20551655383101001992018-09-03T15:22:31.688-07:002018-09-03T15:22:31.688-07:00No sign of any ripe peppers here yet,No sign of any ripe peppers here yet,Sue Garretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164518448098182276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2806765669512996094.post-36187435783410949742018-09-03T14:02:28.583-07:002018-09-03T14:02:28.583-07:00What a bad time to get sick!
